Texas Rice Festival 2009

TEAM Monica & WhoDaMan


We romped and stomped...WhoDaMan took 1st with the Shrimp Fingers, 1st with the Shrimp & Mixed Veggie Muffins, 2nd with the Terrine & Monica won 3rd with the stuffed pork loin.  The eggplant got the big trophy for the "Most Original use of Rice" and the shrimp fingers got the "Wimbledon like platter" hahaha for Reserve Grand Champion.  The dishes that didn't win were still very good with my favorite being the chili relleno and the crepes.  The rice cream sundae was a big hit with the Deaf & Hearing impaired youth that I gave demos to this past summer.

They won 1-1st, 1-2nd & 2-3rds along with "Most Creative use of Rice" pictures and recipes later.
 

 

 

...so we got 3 of the 5 1st places, both trophies & 1 of the 2 platters...will do better next year
